Friends of Cowan Park were a community group which was established in 2012 with the aim of making greater use and retaining the biodiversity of the much loved park in Barrhead.
They worked together with organisations from all sectors and members of the community to create and develop facilities, events and activities. When the group dissolved, part of the legacy led to the donation of £300 for the specific use of youth projects within the Barrhead area; focusing on innovation and enterprise.
The deadline for this particular fund is Friday 25th May 2018
£50 will be allocated for three socially enterprising (SE) projects in each of the secondary schools in Barrhead: St Luke’s and Barrhead High.
If requested by students, resources can be collated to provide start up funds for one SE project.
